Many public libraries provide their patrons with access to circulating copies of books containing several practice exams and their answers. Most libraries have the more popular test books like Senior Clerk-Typist but fewer have the less common ones like Senior Sign Inspector. Since the demand for these books is greatest when the test date is approaching, most libraries usually limit these resources to their own card-holding patrons. However, a couple of libraries lend them out to “non-patrons”.
The publishers of these book vary. Arco and Barron’s have been publishing test books for years. Learning Express and Peterson’s have also been publishing some titles. However, the most popular books locally seem to be from the Syosset, NY publisher, National Learning Corporation.
We are currently exploring and evaluating some exciting and contemporary Career Databases that provide practice tests online and many other valuable resources for job seekers!
